This document, titled “Global Charter on Meaningful Involvement of People Living with NCDs,” centers on engaging individuals with the lived experience of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) in all aspects of the NCD response.

The NCDA is an organisation dedicated to preventing and controlling NCDs by uniting civil society in over 80 countries. This charter aims to involve NCD stakeholders in decision-making processes affecting their health and well-being, guided by five principles: “Rights-based,” “Respect & Dignity,” “People-Centredness,” “Equity,” and “Social Participation.” Both the NCDA and NCD Alliance Japan are committed to promoting wider endorsement of this charter by stakeholders to strengthen NCD responses that engage people with lived experience.
